Professional experience
For more than fifteen years, I worked as a legal practitioner and lawyer in various law firms. I began my career as a legal practitioner at a law firm specialising in patent law in Lyon, France.
Then, in Munich, Germany, I first worked for six years as an IP (intellectual property) lawyer for a large international law firm and then for two and a half years for a Franco-German law firm based in Paris and Munich.
From 2020 to 2022, I practised as a lawyer at the Lyon Bar in a law firm specialising in Franco-German litigation.
My career has enabled me to refine my legal expertise by practising three languages (German, English and French) on an almost daily basis. As a lawyer-linguist with a command of French, German and English legal terminology, I have often been called upon to communicate with foreign colleagues and clients from different legal cultures in the context of international cases.
In addition, throughout my legal career, I have been asked to translate a wide variety of legal documents, such as contracts and legal documents (summonses, conclusions, judgments, etc.) as well as correspondence intended for our various contacts, etc..
I have had the opportunity to translate a legal work from French into German: La saisie-contrefaçon (Seizure of counterfeit goods), Dalloz, author P. Véron, first the second edition in 2006, and then, in 2013/2014, the third revised edition of the book ‘Saisie-contrefaçon’ Dalloz (2013/2014), 642 pages in total, from French into German as part of its trilingual publication.
